Aluminum Granule (Chips)

Aluminum granule (chips) is produced at the diameters of 9.5 mm and 12 mm, weighing 3-5 gr and 1.5 to 2.5 cm in length, which they can be changed according to the customer’s requirements.

Aluminum Granule (Chips) is used in the steel industry as a deoxygenation .

In the steel manufacture process , the removal of dissolved oxygen in molten steel is required. Aluminum and silicon are the most important Deoxygenation materials.

The role of aluminum except to deoxygenation are :

• Increased Taphnes

• Grain size control

• Melting temperature is 660°C

• Boiling temperature is 2470°C

• Molten density is 3 gr/cm3

• Solid density is 7 gr/cm3

Aluminum Granule Packaging (Chips):

Granules are packed by SIM ROD SAMA company in Small Bag 10 to 12 kg or in big bag 1000 Kg and any weight customer’s ordered .
